Vocal Week – Day 3a

Well Corey, you’ve shamed me into blogging.

This has been a long morning. We decided to forego exercise so that we might get right to it. We’re working hard on Erica’s vocal for Kiss Us Goodbye. Hard tune to track. Very exposed… nowhere to hide. The band sounds great, but it’s one of those tracks that supports rather then enfolds the melody, at least on the verses.

Erica’s done with the majority of her parts, and now we just need a little ear candy. I think we’ll limit it to a little indie-fied la-dee-dahs chasing that repetitive melody that both the piano and acoustic guitar articulates.

We’re about to take a break and get a little bite to eat. Then, I think we need to get into something more fun, like Signal Chain. We’re waiting on the Stickman to do an edit for us on All In, but I think that madness will begin later today, as well.
