Vocal Week - Wrap Up

Well kids, it’s been fun.

I’ve gotten to enjoy our little daily chats here. I sincerely appreciate your encouragement through the week. It’s a lot more fun to sing and create when you can have a little instantaneous feedback.

We feel like we got some really solid work done this week, and at the same time we’ve been laughing at ourselves thinking we could get it all done by today. We do feel a propulsive movement, a momentum that we’re not going to easily surrender, even though our parental duties resume in about three hours.

I just want to give a shout out to the band. I haven’t mentioned it, but it’s been a real pleasure to track vocals on top of these rhythm tracks. They sound great. Thanks to Dana, Rosy, Corey, and Mike for their hard work and talent. This record belongs to them as well as us.

Except legally, and financially, of course. More in the amorphous, nebulous heavenly rewards sorta way.

We’re gonna take the kids out for a special family date night tonight. We’ve committed to have another vocal session Monday night, no matter how tired, grumpy, or fried we are. Hold us accountable…. we need it.
